Memories.
I think that we need military holidays for memories. Which remind not only of the war, but also of our deceased relatives who defended their homeland. When my great-grandmother was alive, she often told me the intimate stories about the war. For her, every day seemed the last. Her family had 4 children and it was very difficult to feed everyone. Therefore, I consider my great-grandmother and her family heroes.
May 9 is a very important day for each of us, because on that day everyone's fate was decided.
